The architectural diloague of two countries intertwine at Ways of Seeing: 6581, a photography exhibition that celebrates the unique built history of Singapore and Japan through the photography of Lim Yu Heng and Franz Navarrete. Held from 8-16 August 2026 at Nuts Kyoto, the multidisciplinary events comprised of a photo exhibition, a Singaporean breakfast pop-up and an architectural talk on the penultimate evening.

The exhibition was co-curated by Kyoto-based Lim Yu Heng and Hong Xinying, in celebration of the book launch of Shophouses of Singapore: Beyond the Facade, a book published by Man Mo Media in July 2026. The events were attended by design enthusiasts, the creative community, and friends of the co-organisers.
